Best Places to Take Out-of-Town Family in Loveland and NoCo

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and many of us have family visiting from out of town. So, I wanted to compile a list of the best places to take out-of-town family in Loveland and NoCo, so you don’t have to think about it. Here are my top 5:

The Stanley Hotel

The Stanley is a must for out-of-towners! Not only is it iconic from The Shining fame, but it’s also just a really unique and beautiful piece of architecture. And, one of its newest features is Aiden Sinclair’s Underground. This subterranean theater/speakeasy is a place where you can see illusionist Aiden Sinclair perform seasonal, mysterious shows.

Chapungu Sculpture Park

During the day, this sculpture park offers a unique collection of sculptures crafted by Zimbabwean artists. And until January 2nd, it’s also home to the very fun lights display—Winter Wonderlights.

Colorado State University

This stop might not be for everyone, but if CSU is your alma mater, maybe a stroll through The Oval might be in order. You could even catch a women’s basketball game on December 28 or check out some of your favorite restaurants around campus.

Sweet Heart Winery

This local treasure is a must-stop with out-of-town guests. Even if you have kids in your crew, they’ll enjoy exploring the beautiful river-side property of Sweet Heart Winery while you enjoy a glass of wine and charcuterie board.

The Hunt for the Loveland Holiday Gnomes

This scavenger hunt throughout town would be a fun way to spend the day if you have little ones in your crew. Not only will you stop at a few Loveland hotspots (a few that we’ve already mentioned!), but you earn a prize for completing it and are entered to win one of several incredible Loveland giveaways!
