Colorado boasts 300 days of sunshine per year. This is a huge draw for people who love to enjoy the outdoors. But what about man’s best friend? Here’s your list of Best Dog parks in Loveland and surrounding areas. Read through to the end, because I’ve also thrown in some of my favorite dog-friendly hikes!
Loveland Dog Parks
Fairgrounds Park – This dog park is located at the south end of Fairgrounds Park. Amenities include a pet water fountain (turned off during colder months), and a waste bag dispenser. There’s even a section or small or shy dogs.
Mehaffey Park – Located just northwest of the playground. This dog park also has water and waste bags for your pups! There is also a shaded area for those hotter, sunnier days!
Fort Collins Dog Parks
Spring Canyon Dog Park – Nestled up in the foothills of West Fort Collins, this is a H-U-G-E 3 acre park for dogs to run around off leash!
Fossil Creek Dog Park – This dog park is located on South Lemay at the entrance of Fossil Creek Community Park.
Twin Silo Dog Park – Located at the new Twin Silos Park. This park also includes a separate area for small and shy dogs.
Northern Colorado Dog-Friendly Hikes
Now that we know the best dog parks in Northern Colorado, here’s my bonus list of dog friendly hikes! Please keep in mind, although dog parks allow your dog to be off leash, you must have your pup on leash for these hikes!
